My Dear Kitsune Forever!

Disclaimer: this game reads your computer administrator name as a part of the experience. It doesn't harm anything, and this is just a part of the game, but if your full name is the administrator name, you may not want to upload footage of gameplay. 

This is a remake/sequel to a free computer game called My Dear Kitsune. Despite it's cute art style, it's very disturbing as it's a horror game, and not suitable for those who are easily disturbed by violence. Parent's guide is available on the official website. (linked in the image below.)

In addition to the original story, the GUI has been updated, new soundtracks were added,  and the story continues with brand new endings and more characters!

If you couldn't tell already, I'm Sakura, a human girl who wears cat ears as a disguise! Why would I need a disguise? I'm pure human in a no-pure-humans school! 

“My Dear Kitsune Forever! is a visual novel created by a young, solo developer. Don't let that fool you! This game is filled with twists and turns that'll have you wondering "What is going to happen next?!" There is a wide variety of character designs, from a cute tanuki to an alien firefly. Despite its cutesy art style, this game can get DARK. One scene had Candy and I utterly shook, something that’s not easily done.

There are multiple paths you can take. Some end suddenly, while others allow you to spend more time with the main cast and introduce you to an array of other characters.

• And me, Sakura, of course!

How do I download the game?

First, you will want to download the files. You will want the file for your computer (Windows, for example). Next, extract the file you chose, and open the folder. You will now want to find the application, and open it. Yay! You can start playing the game now!

Interesting facts:

• The game's about page says the game is paid as an Easter egg. It's referencing the fact that the game was going to cost money, but was changed to free shortly after the game came out.
• A lot of the names have meanings. For example, "Kitsune" means "Fox," and "Hotaru" means "Firefly."
• Originally, the story was inspired by Doki Doki Literature Club. Natsumi's name unintentionally is almost "Natsuki," and her personality was inspired by Sayori. It even gets referenced in-game, as a game Sakura played before.
• This was originally going to be my main project, but I decided to make it a starting point to improve and make better games.

Note: do not take anything in this game seriously. It is pure fiction, and is not intended to resemble real life events in any way (except for obvious inspiration, such as real-life animals)
